London Do 2017, November 3rd-5th
This is the official start of the event and the best day to arrive at the hotel. Depending on requirements, you may be invited to take part in the American Express focus group.
The event kicks off with a wonderful cocktail reception, generously sponsored by the Andaz. This is the perfect time to meet others attending the event and get a taste for the Andaz' stylish design and fantastic hospitality. Please note that the reception is sponsored for all guests staying in the hotel on the group rate - if you are not staying in the hotel, you can join us but will be charged normal menu prices. After the reception, we will be dining in the hotel's Japanese restaurant Miyako (see here for menu). You are welcome to join us for sushi, mochi and sake!
And so, to the pièce de resistance of the event. A decadent reception with English bubbles, followed by a spectacular 3 course dinner with wine, all generously sponsored by American Express and held in the stunning Temple. The evening is always such fun - delicious food, fantastic atmosphere and great memories to look back over.
When all are replete, we will host the charity auction with hotel stays donated from around the world. Your booking fee for dinner can be used as auction credit so get ready to bid! We can accept payment in cash (GBP, EUR, USD, CHF) or by credit card - and yes, we accept AMEX! Apart from making new friends and having fun, the real reason for this event is to raise money for charity. Last year we raised over $7000 for HUSK Cambodia, who support families living on less than $40/month. Wouldn't it be great if we could beat that this year?
Start the day with a workout in the hotel's well-equipped gym, enjoy a quiet sauna or simply indulge in a decadent breakfast. Perhaps try one of the hotel's specialties, such as Quinoa porridge with banana and raisins, Eggs Royale, Chia seed pudding or cheeses from local Spitalfields market.
After a relaxing start to the day, we will organise an activity for late morning/early afternoon. Depending on demand, this may be a private walking tour highlighting East London's street art scene, a mystery D2T walking tour including visits to some specialist gourmet shops or an Escape the Room game. Please indicate on the booking form which activity(s) you would be interested in us organising.
Our group rate is £199/214 single/double occupancy per night including full breakfast, wifi, non-alcoholic minibar and VAT. It is your responsibility to abide by the booking terms and conditions set out by the hotel (14 day cancellation policy)
The group rate includes 1000 bonus points per night stayed for up to 3 nights (3000 bonus points)
Sponsored events are subject to capacity limits and will raise money for HUSK Cambodia
Due to the smaller capacity of the Saturday night dinner vs previous years, a booking fee of £50 per person will be required to confirm attendance. This fee can be used as credit against any items purchased during the charity auction. If you do not win an auction item, the fee will be donated to HUSK Cambodia.
The Friday welcome reception is sponsored by the Andaz for participants staying in the hotel and paying the group rate. Others are welcome to attend but will be charged on a consumption basis.
